Canada Outgrows MEDICA, Largest Canadian Space Bookings Ever, Four Product Specific Canadian Pavilions

56 Canadian exhibitors (plus 12% over 2010) have committed to a record breaking square footage at the show for the third time in a row. The record now stands at 8,100 square feet of exhibition space, an increase of over 14% to 2010 or three times that of the show.

With 16 new exhibitors from Canada, an enlarged matchmaking program by Export Development Canada (EDC) in hall 6.1 on November 17 - 18, 2011 and a networking reception on November 17, 2011 at the hall 16 Canada Pavilion, the upcoming event will be the most exciting showings of Canadian technology and product capabilities on record in the 42-year history of the show.

Ontario will again have the largest exhibitor group at the show (31), whereas British Columbia has produced an unprecedented 14 exhibitors, 55% more than in 2010. The bulk of Canadian exhibitors are in halls 3 (16) and 16 (22), both areas growing by 45%.

Four Product Specific Canadian Pavilions

Canada will have pavilions in the electromedicine/medical technology (hall 16), the laboratory equipment/diagnostics (hall 3), the disposables (hall 5) and physiotherapy/ orthopedic equipment (hall 4) sections of the show. These pavilions are organized by the Messe Düsseldorf (Canada) office in Toronto. They offer smaller or first time exhibitors a turnkey/full service marketing platform at this global show.

MEDICA Bursting Out of its Seams

A record 5,160 companies from 67 countries around the world registered for MEDICA/ COMPAMED 2011. About 66% of all exhibitors come from outside Germany. The annual 4-day event is bursting out of the seams and will once again occupy all of Messe Düsseldorf’s 19 exhibition halls.

No other medical trade fair in the world compares in terms of size, scope of exhibits, international exposure and in its role as a global marketing platform to MEDICA. Once again, exhibits will span laboratory equipment/diagnostics, physiotherapy/orthopedic equipment, disposables, electro medicine/medical technology, medical IT, as well as the two-hall medical component show, COMPAMED. In 2010 some 137,000 trade visitors attended the show.
