Sebastian (28) and Poppy (25) from Vienna, Austria, are medical technicians and meet suppliers from around the world every year at MEDICA: "The exhibition is a perfect platform for a targeted search for specific products or companies."

Dr. Ingo Patschke

Also Doctor Ingo Patschke, the surgeon general and the Inspector of German's Army Medical Service visited the MEDICA this year to get an overview of the innovations from the world of medicine.

Christa Hammer (38) from Hamburg: "This is my first time at MEDICA trade fair and as a Business Development Manager I am looking for new German customers for my company. What I immediately noticed is that there are many international exhibitors, so I will probably have to look a little longer. "

Jeffrey Stone (50) from Minnesota, USA, just looks around at the trade fair. His company exhibits also at the MEDICA 2011: "Our company manufactures medical lasers, so I look for other exhibitors who are active in this industry and collect important contacts."

Lisa (19) and Isabella (20) from Recklinghausen make a job training as occupational therapists and came to MEDICA by train: "We were already at the REHACARE this year and this time we have a look around especially in hall 4 and 5 because there are the most interesting exhibitors for occupational therapy."

Rona Lawler (55) and Paul Barrett (59) from Swindon, UK, come each year to the medical trade fair in Duesseldorf. This time they want to inform for their job about the latest state of health service: "MEDICA is very large. The only annoying thing is that you walksuch long ways between the halls and your feet hurt at the end of the day."

Lily and Roy from China

Lily (35) and Roy (41) from China are in Germany for the first time and have not seen much so far. But MEDICA trade fair already convinced them: "The fair provides a good opportunity to meet other companies and to inform about other products on the market. In China we produce disposable products and look for international contacts in the industry here."

Nahid and Khairul from Bangladesh

Nahid (41) and Khairul (43) from Bangladesh visit the MEDICA for the first time and look for new products for their company: "We disposed long for the trip to Germany, but however we are very surprised about the weather and the cold here”, Nahid laughs.

Irena Bagdoniene from Lithuania

Irena Bagdoniene (62) traveled two days from Lithuania to Düsseldorf by bus and is excited about Germany and the MEDICA: "As a chemist I am interested in various apparatuses that are used in the laboratory, particularly for autopsy and biopsy procedures. The fair offers a unique opportunity to get a complete overview of the news."

Dr. Tilmann Laufs from Frankfurt/Germany

Doctor Tilmann Laufs (38) from Frankfurt came with an train to the fair: "It is my third time at the MEDICA and once again I will use the trade fair as a meeting point with international clients. In addition I collect new information about molecular diagnostics and personalised medicine, where I work."

Mr. and Mrs. Nwokedi from Nigeria

Mr. (54) and Mrs. (44) Nwokedi from Nigeria are medical laboratory scientists and veterans of MEDICA trade fair. Unfortunately until now they could not admire much of the German touristic attractions but one they remember well: "The Cologne Cathedral, which we visited two years ago, made a lasting impression on us. It is a remarkable building."
