The Lysonator™ is used to homogenise and disrupt tissue samples, and is especially designed to handle small sample quantities with high efficiency, speed and recovery. The Lysonator™ consists of a bench-top instrument and a single-use consumable set. It is designed to simplify and improve the process of tissue- dissociation prior to extracting biomolecules for molecular analysis.

The Lysonator™ disrupts samples through a mechanical shearing action generated from the high-speed vibration of a piezoelectric disc in the disposable cartridge, leading to complete homogenization of most sample types in less than 2 minutes*, an important feature since many samples are processed everyday in laboratories.
