ZETTLER® fire detectors for TOTAL WALTHER GmbH

We all know that safety risks are lying in wait everywhere – fire does not stop at the doors of hospitals and nursing homes. Protecting patients, visitors and personnel pro-actively and in serious cases, quickly and efficiently, is one of the greatest obligations of every clinic and care facility. With this in mind, ADT and TOTAL WALTHER offer a comprehensive total package for personal protection. The core of this package is the ZETTLER® Medicall® 800 IP nursecall and communications system as a comprehensive intelligent security platform: Multi-faceted safety solutions such as the new ZETTLER® fire detectors in fire detection, intelligent fire detection systems all the way to voice alarm systems, can be integrated through matching interfaces.
Whether they are bed-ridden, disoriented or highly restricted in their mobility, reaction time and speed, patients in clinics and nursing homes are often dependent on the help of others in the event of a fire. Time plays a decisive role when lives are on the line. Every second you can gain counts, especially in clinics. The seconds you gain enable you to detect fires as they start, early and safely, report them, and spread the alarm to the responsible clinic personnel and first responders, such as the fire department or police – and to initiate an immediate evacuation of the patients.
With this in mind, the new 6th generation of the ZETTLER® fire detectors offers a future-oriented solution for safe and efficient fire detection. With the addressable sensors of the 830- and 850-Series for the fire alarm system ZX/MZX, this innovative technology opens up many advantages for use in clinics. Externally nearly unchanged from the previous 800 Series, the new fire detectors can be more easily and thus more cost efficiently installed and maintained – and offer greater safety and reliability in function and detection. A built-in insulator and an optimised measurement chamber provide for even better detection of fire sources with these light-scatter detectors. Through further improvement to insect repellent and protective paint on all structural elements and conductive pathways, the detectors are now even less subject to external environmental influences. Moreover, the 6th generation of the ZETTLER® fire detectors offers all the well-known advantages of MZX-technology: the extremely robust ring main protocol, the unlimited back-compatibility and the enormous flexibility of the MZX-system. And last but not least, the new fire detectors score points through their individual design such as in the colour design of the housings and so can fit in with the hospital's particular interior design concept.
If you need a modern fire protection system in the clinic, the universal fire and gas alarm module DDM800 can make it possible, with its multi-faceted connection options for detecting combustion gases, providing reliable early detection of fires and gases depending on the structural and technical requirements: For example, the gas alarm GD210 as a stand-alone-solution detects flammable gases already at extremely low concentration. The VESDA® ECO gas alarm also assures a highly sensitive and effective detection of gases via the VESDA® VLF-250 smoke intake system. Multi-criteria alarms with selectable alarm sensor functions expand the spectrum for safe and reliable early fire detection. Detected combustion parameters such as carbon monoxide, smoke or heat reliably detect and indicate a fire as it is starting.
Using intelligent central fire alarm systems such as the addressable central fire alarm system ZETTLER® MZX 251/252 with its intuitive control panel, can be connected with and configured for up to 500 alarm addresses using two ring mains. Morever, thanks to modern digital transfer technology, the existing wires can be used in system upgrades or renovations, thus saving costs and using resources conservatively. Alarm messages will be forwarded via the ZETTLER® Medicall® 800 IP nursecall and communications system to the responsible nursing care personnel and first responders – e.g. using DECT-Handy.
