Prof. Dr. Carl Foster
Carl Foster, Ph.D. is an exercise physiologist with interests from clinical physiology to sport physiology.
He is Professor of Exercise & Sport Science & Director of Research in the Clinical Exercise Physiology Graduate Program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
He is Visiting Professor in of Human Movement Science at the Vrije Universiteit-Amsterdam. Mr. Foster received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas- Austin in 1976, with post-doctoral work at Ball State University.
He worked at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee from 1977-1998 leading the Clinical Physiology program from 1988-1998. He has also published ~ 400 scientific papers or chapters and 20 books, monographs, position stands and videos.

As a lifelong heart patient, Heidi did not want to be a victim of heart disease. Instead she wanted to pursue her desire to become an athlete and competitive cyclist. After having open heart surgery in 2010, with the help of wearable devices and technologies, Heidi had the information she needed to go from the hospital bed to back on the bike and across the finish line of her first bike race.
The goal of Tour de Heart is to empower patients to become accountable and knowledgeable for their health care by having the information that they need. This goal is supported by the work she does at Google.

Prof. Dr. Wolfarth is head physician of the German ski association and for the German biathlon team since several years.
Since 2002 he worked with the German Olympic team. He served as the head physician for the German Olympic Team in the Vancouver 2010, London 2012 and Sotchi 2014 Olympic Games.
Since 2011 he is chair of the medical expert committee of the German Olympic Sports Federation.

In 2001, she joined the European Commission. During the first years, in the Directorate-General for Trade, she was in charge of coordinating international trade relations.
Today she is the Deputy Head of the Sport Unit in the Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture.
Over the past years, she has played a central role in developing the Commission’s agenda for sport, the promotion of physical activity in particular. Mrs. Hollmann holds an academic degree in economics.
