Eurostars project Bioscale focuses on the SCINUS expansion system

Cell therapies and regenerative medicine have enormous potential to change the way we treat patients and deliver health care, but the production of cells on a reproducible commercial scale poses a challenge. Cell cultivation is labour-intensive and includes many open process steps requiring expensive cleanroom procedures once the transition to clinical production is made. Consequently, there is an urgent need for efficient production platforms at scale.
