What is the idea of the insulated O-BOX-H250?

The shipping of high valued and sensible goods like pharmaceutical drugs, chemical products and exclusiv grocery goods needs a special handling with using of high quality packaging's. That we know from conversation with our customers and business partners round about the pharma logistic sectors. We also know that this users needs innovative solutions for example to shipping pharmaceutical drugs or vaccines to different areas with less infrastructure.

This kind of vacuum insulated packaging is able to hold the inside temperature for approx. 250 hours with an ambient temperature of the ISTA 7D winter and summer profiles. We patented this shipping solution and offer you now a smart insulated packaging to protect your goods for approx. 10 days against outside temperature influencess.

Welche Idee stand hinter der Entwicklung der O-Box H 250?

Der Versand hochwertiger Güter wie Medikamente, chemische Produkte oder auch exklusiver Lebensmittel ist mit einer besonderen Verantwortung verbunden. In Gesprächen mit unseren Kunden und Geschäftspartnern aus der Pharmalogistik ging es in der Vergangenheit immer wieder darum, dass hier ein echter Bedarf an innovativen Lösungen gefragt ist - gerade auch für den Transport von Medikamenten und Impfstoffen in Gebiete mit eher schwacher Infrastruktur. Denn für medizinische Produkte müssen kontinuierlich genau definierte Temperaturprofile eingehalten werden, um absolute Produktsicherheit zu gewährleisten.

Das Innovative an diesem Verpackungskonzept ist, dass sein gut durchdachtes und von uns patentiertes Kühlsystem einen mehrtätigen Transport temperaturempfindlicher Güter aller Art möglich macht. Die Temperatur im Innern der Box bleibt für bis zu 250 Stunden bzw. gut 10 Tage stabil.

Wie ist die O-Box H 250 konzipiert?

Der Prototyp unserer O-Box H 250 besteht aus Styropor - in der Branche jetzt einheitlich als airpop® bezeichnet. Die Besonderheit der Box besteht jedoch in ihrer Konstruktion. Sie hat verhältnismäßig dicke Styroporwände. Alle Außenwände der Box inklusive Deckel und Boden verfügen über Hohlkammern, die mit Vakuumpaneelen bestückt sind. Vakuum ist ein sehr schlechter Wärmeleiter und dient als Hauptisolator in diesem Verpackungskonzept. Speziell konstruierte Latentwärmespeicher (PCM) sorgen für eine konstante Temperatur im Innern über diese lange Zeitspanne und verhindern einen Temperaturaustausch mit der Umwelt.

Welche Temperaturen können eingehalten werden?

Unsere O-Box H 250 hat bei Überprüfungen nach dem ISTA-Sommerprofil bewiesen, ein Temperaturspektrum von 2° bis 8° C konstant über 250 Stunden zu halten. Soweit die offizielle Angabe. Bei unseren Temperaturtests mit dem Prototypen wurde dieses Temperaturspektrum sogar über 314 Stunden gehalten, mit einer leichten zeitweisen Temperaturunterschreitung von 0,2° C innerhalb der ersten 24 Stunden.

For the shipping of you high valued products you need  PCM fluids for different meelting points (phase changed materials) like +37°C; +22°C; +4°C; -18°C; -21°C and -30°C. Also we can offer different volumes and sizes like 200ml; 600ml; 1,0L, 2,0L, 3,0L.

The temperature logger as a monitoring unit inside the packaging can ensure you and your customer that the goods will receive the destination in a good and proper condition.
